Grey Themes and Ideas for Comfortable Living Room

A grey living room can be a great idea for various kind house. Though grey seems to be neutral, it is actually a strong color. We need to choose the right design and even other color component to balance the atmosphere otherwise our living room would seem cold and dark. It will not be a difficult task if we know some tricks.

Modern and futuristic theme

The easiest idea to build a perfect gray living room is by choosing modern and futuristic theme. This theme makes us possible to paint the wall with darker color like the gray color itself. Then, we can also have leather couches. The couches can be dark gray, black, and even really dark brown. If we want the living room to be really modern, we can have deep gray color for the floor. In contrast, we need to consider dark hardwood floor for cozier living room. To emphasize the modern and futuristic theme, we just need to display mirror or glass decoration. Do not forget to choose cool tone light for the central lighting and warm lighting for the table lamp or to light some part of the glass decorations to illuminate the room, especially if we display a little golden touch for the glass or mirror decorations.

Light gray living room

For us who like light but elegant living room, we can still have gray for the dominant color. The idea is to install gray marble for patterned floor and gray granite tiles for solid color floor. We can paint the wall in light gray of lilac color. To emphasize the gray color, we can choose gray blinds curtains with a little glossy color like satin fabric. Since we want it to be a bright and elegant living room, we need to consider simple but cozy couches with small coffee table with glass counter top. The white couches may be a little bright and contrast, we just need to arrange some couch pillows with similar color to the blind shades.

Fresh living room

Gray living room has always been associated to modern or glamour room interior. In fact, gray can also be a nice color for a fresh living room. The idea is simple, we just need to choose solid gray color for the living room such as the gray vinyl flooring. Then, we can choose light gray for the wall and white for the window frames and the door. To create fresh look we can add furniture like couch with light teal colors and deep yellow color ottoman to decorate the corner of the room so you will get a fresh living room.
